Just thought I'd put forward the aliens' POV.

EDS, the consultancy firm responsible for the new early warning system in the UFO denied any wrong doing but agreed to give all assistance in finding the cause of the malfunction.
This news comes at a critical time for EDS who are still suffering the loss of their previous chairman who was eaten after failing to account for no less than 3 human subjects which had been loaned to the company for probe testing.
