    Anyone had laser eye surgery?

I've been toying with the idea for years but the idea of my eyes being sliced up is a little scary... being able to see is pretty important after all. I'd rather lose my legs or man-parts (or both!) than my eyes...

I've been thinking of it too, I have to wear reading glasses now, which is an annoyance.
Can they correct that with laser surgery?

I can read news print six feet away, any closer and it blurs
Confusion is a natural state of being

Yes, we've cover it before. There are basically two types of surgery. One done on the surface of the cornea and another that is done underneath a thin corneal flap.

        No.

There are experimental techniques than can relieve the symptoms of presbyopia, but they aren't all that effective or long lasting.

I'm sure there was a debate not too long back on this !?

Personally I'd stick with being a speccy four eyes if it was me

Yep, I’ll stick to being a four eyes too; really, specs are a very minor inconvenience, so it isn’t worth even a tiny risk to the eyes to get this surgery done.

Both my brothers had it done years ago, they are both blind now. But that could be a coincidence.
