        This is a disaster. As a saver I will get stung by this, its bad for Britain also.

            If, as the title of the thread suggests, there has been a cut of -1.5%, shouldn't we be moaning about this massive increase in interest rates??

              Have you read the small print? There's a lot of wriggle usually that means they don't have to pass on all or any of the cut.

              I know it sounds mad, but some have a lower limit (like 1% above BoE) and some say they can move you to an alternative product if they wish to stop the one you are on.

                    Bugger,

                    I transferred some cash from euro land back to the UK last night, the exchange rate has shot the other way. Bet it chooses the crap one today rather than the ok one last night!
