    Are you divorced?

    Following on from Bagpuss's (jolly interesting) question about divorce rate among contractors - thought I might try a poll to see how cuk divorce rate compares to national average.

              Are there any children? Any pre-nup? What assets did you each bring into the marriage? What assets are there now?

                    depends of how you go about it. if its amicable then you could just split everything 50/50.

                    i did 3 years and sold the house, split the profits, didn't bother with solicitors, got him to pay for the divorce paperwork though

                    if it looks like it could get nasty then speak to a solicitor asap
