    Global Warming strikes Britain

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...elow-zero.html

Snow and sleet could blanket North Sea coasts as far south as Kent, the Met Office has predicted, as winter strengthens its grip.

Night time temperatures on Saturday night in northern England and Scotland could fall as low as 23F (-5C), the Met Office said. But the whole country will feel raw, with day time temperatures across large parts of the British Isles struggling to get above 41F( 5C).

A second Arctic spell is likely to follow quickly behind early next week, according to forecasting services, bringing the first prolonged taste of winter this season.

That's the roads & rail buggered then!

Why is it when it rains in this rainy country on a Monday morning, there are always serious crashes on the motorways.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Why does someone always breakdown on the M4 flyover near junction 2?

Do they still give temperatures in Fahrenheit?

        How quaint.

Because there are an awful lot of cars on the British roads driven by seriously clueless drivers, plus Monday morning and Friday evening are incredibly busy due to the weekend long distance commuters who hog lanes.

Prime example of lousy driving: Last night I'm driving along a residential road at the speed limit, brake, indicate right, am about to turn right and then get overtaken (on the right) by a chavved up Golf doing >60.
