    I hired a contractor

I'm contracting work to 2 people from cheaper economies and charging their time out for profit.

Very exciting... it's like being a real business

Interesting. What field / area (if it's not confidential) ? A friend's wifes brother is all foreign & stuff, but also an IT wizz, I think he gets like 500 quid a month, max. I'd like to put some work his way. Remote network stuff, something like that. Haven't given it a lot of thought yet.....
      Bored.

Let us all join in applauding d000hg for shipping some IT earnings out of the country. This is just the kind of board where that should meet with great approval. We all like to see work that we could do go overseas to places where they cn work for less than we can because they don't have the same costs.

Rest assured there is a net influx of money to the UK, my patriotic friend. My client is ALSO overseas. In fact myself, my client and both my contractors are all in different countries

So do I. I just hope they are better than the off-shorers that clientco uses......

So your margin remains in the UK. Marvellous news. It all adds to your profit and therefore leads to more tax being paid, all for the greater good...
                Older and ...well, just older!!

Uh-huh. I do the same. Contractors driven abroad to work but paying tax in the UK: what a good plan.
