Breaking into a new sector

I would like to be able to apply for a BA role on a government project, however, all of the adverts that I have seen state that you must have public sector/government project experience with security clearance. I have all the skills they require apart from the sector experience as I have spent all my years in utilities....

Does anyone know how I can overcome this? Or am I wasting my time because Agent's will not put me forward without the sector experience?

Any advice would be appreciated...

MMmm....You MUST have sector experience, and you don't have sector experience. What part of that don't you get?

Although, in the main, govt projects give no thought to analysing the business requirements.

Ah, not having a sense of humour means that I don't understand things like sarcasm. It also means that I don't get invited to the pub very often. Or laid. Even by madame palm. She prefers the gentleman sitting next to me on the train.
