Is your clientco hiring or firing

There have been so many discussions about whether we are in a full blown recession, I thought I'd start a simple poll.

P.S. Please dont ask me for presents this year, its the credit crunch.

    My clientco is hiring :)
    33.33%

    My clientco is firing :(

    The poll is expired.

Status Quo headlining at my place.

Though they should be taking on more people, loads of work piling up. Hoping that means I'm going to get extended early next year, but they're actively looking for permies on peanuts. Wonder if they've tried the local zoo yet.

Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Clientco is struggling but static. Plan B however is hiring in the new year.

My old clientco was firing previously and may continue firing soon.
Luckily, I'm on Plan B and have been since February.

Why did you make it a public poll? Why no AndyW option? So many questions... But no answer from me.

re-organizing (firing) and running cost cutting projects.
Boomed as someone has to implement all the changes from the projects and re-organizations.

Mine seem to be hiring. Having said that, I've heard of lots of high level budget planning meetings going on in the last week, so you never know.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I'm not allowed to vote yet as I'm still on probation (being new and all, although it's only this logon that's new!), but my clientco is firing big time.

At the beginning of the year, the whole client IS department numbered well over 900. We are currently just below 700 now, and the insiders say that the target by the end of the fiscal year (31/3/09) is 400.....
