A colleague of mine fairly easily got a new contract in Germany.
Doesn't seem that bad.
I don't know any contractors who are out of contract other than by choice at the moment. Also, the permies I work alongside are getting new jobs with payrises they are happy with.
But then, maybe it's because it's infosec, I don't know...
Everyone that I know that wants work is in work, the market is quiet but it always is this time of the year.
Been told that an extension is likely after clientCo nailed a big contract, probably turn it down as I am going full time on plan B as it becomes plan A

I don't know any contractors out of work. My contract has another eight months and I have recently had a few calls to see if I'm available for contracts.
I would say the contract market appears to be holding up quite well all things considered. The true picture however should be clear next year. Look at the business analyst and project manager markets as a barometer of future work coming on stream.
