    Mich….

What testing do you do, and why hating banking?

While the work is repetitively mind numbing, the hours and nice and cushy. Also really easy to drag the work and get in as much overtime as you can stand.

Much prefer retail myself to be honest – first experience of retail a year ago, was dreading it, have not had a more varied job in my life.

Unless you count air despatching with the RAF…….

I did a lot of testing of GIS and telephony systems for emergency services and water management (big in NL) and was then persuaded thanks to a high rate to go testing in a bank. I've been regretting it since, but they're paying quite well up to now and the big projects in emergency services are all on hold right now.

Mind you, shouldn't complain too much; I can do the work here in about 1 hour a day. Just don't tell anyone.

A job where I can do the work in an hour is my idea of hell - I much prefer to be kept busy!

Feeling really bored right now though - on my last half hour before the Christmas break. Well, will be in a store on Monday stacking shelves, but, last day in the office this year

I kind of miss the corporata madness of banking though.

          WOuldn't want any extra competition

No seriously, I'm bored out of my brains. As soon as there's a good telecom/emergency service or water defences contract going I'll jump.

You should see some of the people they hire here. Come to think of it, you should see the people doing the hiring.

round here you do that sort of think and you might well get a thump!

even something like saying "can I help you with your problem" can result in a hairdryer like shouting at.

For some reason they think I am a nutter and keep away from me : not sure why.....
