Usually twice a month, but due to holidays and other important things there were no updates to the index in the last 6 weeks. I expect to double index in 2 weeks time, getting extra processing capacity for this. 1 bln by Xmas.

Who runs the update process? Yourself or the crawlers out there?

Me, crawlers act independently but they are likely to start indexing soon to cut down on CPU required to build the index -- at that time updates will be faster because merging already indexed data is very fast.

If you put on a good show then I will happily pay for it

I might have to set up a web cam in the Lone Gunman's potting shed.

I would get in and out quickly, I am going to use the minimi as a chain saw on it at the weekend, just for the hell of it!
I am not qualified to give the above advice!
