BBC business editor Robert Peston says that help will be targeted at companies of a middling size, with turnover of up to several hundred million pounds a year.
Hmm. The Telegraph puts a completely different spin on this Taxpayers to own part of small businesses
    • Would you really want the government to own a slice of your business?
    • And presumably have some say in how you run it?
    • And if you want to buy your share back when times get better, will you be able to?
    • Nationalisation by stealth?
Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

..... and when Northern Rock was in trouble the phrase ' bailed out by the taxpayer' was repeated ad nauseum to denigrate the company and to enable an excuse for nationalisation. How ironic that it is now used as a way of HMG trying to gain kudos !!!!!!

How can Labour steal so many Tory ideas, and still be wrong about everything?

... because they are too thick to understand the whole idea and implement it in the wrong way. Still, that's state education for you !!!

Not at all. It needs improving and Labour have failed to do that so it's time for a new HMG with better ideas and less left-wing dogma. A good education system is good for everybody and the economy.
