Look on the bright side, at least he'll find out who "number 1" is now!

It's funny, as I get older I try to behave better towards my common man, and "put a little back". But I'm erring more and more towards the viewpoint that oblivion awaits us all. Still, sad to hear of the Prisoner checking out.

He was also in 'The Man from Uncle' which was one of my favourite programmes from the 60s.

RIP Patrick.

I've just had visions of Alastair Darling (number 11) trying to resign!

A great pity. Shame he did not take the part of James Bond.

Apparently one of his first roles was a bit part as a guard in the 1954 film Dambusters. I must look out for him if I watch it again.

Talking about that film, I wonder how the remake is coming on.

Many people don't know this but he played the evil king "Edward Longshanks" in Braveheart.

He was almost unrecognizable.

Dangerman was superb.

I never saw The Prisoner (it must have clashed with something else deemed more important), but Dangerman was indeed excellent.

Prisoner was a great series with a shyte ending.

During production McGoohan was suddenly told he had no more budget and had to finish the series in only two more episodes. Those episodes, particularly the last one, were a bit amateurish and incomprehendible.

Whatever happened to the original "KAR 120C"?

Always wanted to go to Portmeirion to stay for a week but it is not exactly easy to get to from where I live.

Don't know if anyone knows about the prisoner fan clubs that are at each others throats all the time, lawyers and the police have been involved, both have tried to shut each others web sites, people secretly recording meetings etc, pretty funny story.

Portmeirion is actually incredibly small. Not sure if I'd want to spend a week there - unless you're going to do some walking or something.
