Sub-$100 laptop design unveiled

They could turn it into a $1000 laptop by adding windows 3.11 & office 4.3.

It really does sound great - LINUX !! wooohooo

yes sounds a good idea...........even though I support M$ products.

My bet is that its build from totally obsolete components and it won't run modern software fast, however its good enough (mobile and cheap) for 3rd world countries that they are targeting.

I doubt they will keep costs under $100 though.

still its a good idea. $100 bucks is not much though to produce.

Have you thought what kind of salaries would be needed to be paid to people involved in order to stay under $100?
