He said she hoped the rocket would "carry their spirits, memories, and the message of their life's work into the cosmos on an infinite journey into deep space".

      Ecky was right.

All is Vanity - even the farewell to the Shoddy little Ego has to have this final act of absurdity - this final act of Vanity.

From the Cosmological viewpoint our Atoms in our Bodies derive from Stars (this is true) and when we turn to Dust then we are recycled into the Cosmos - so this whole is just complete Vanity as you will be recysled into the Cosmic Wheels eventually anyway.

      Dust to Dust
      Fun to funky
      We know Pink Floyd
      Are Junkies
      Strung out on Heavens High
      Hitting an All Time Low

I looked beyond the infinite Heavens
Such Wonder but also such Vanity

        Threaded, is that you ?
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

One of the first tracks I ever listned to with headphones on - back in 1970 as I recall - headphones were quite sought after in those days and expensive.

Great ending where the guitar track balance fair whooshes from side to side - that was quite a feat on those days.

They (the headphones) didnt belong to me - a well to do neighbors Dad had them.

I am really chuffed with the spirit of Floyd wafting its way through this forum today. Makes me smile.

Going to spin me some discs tonight!

                  Cheers
