I checked the trains : suspended. Called for cab : 3 hour wait. Went to station to check out new taxi office (and double check trains). Nothing.

Decided to drive. Getting car keys when saw taxi driver 6 doors down just leaving. Got in with him.

no. Went to Edinburgh airport this morning and now I'm back in the house.

Sleezyjet were delayed for a few hours cause Gatwick had a couple of millimetres of the white stuff. Honestly.

not too difficult to get in, but skidded all over the car park. Isn't it weird when the anti-skid kicks in on the brake pedal ?

Nope. 7" of snow so far. No point in trying to drive in Surrey this morning.

Question: "Did you make it to work today ?"

                  reply: "Snow way !"

I camped out in the carpark over night in a one man tent and sleeping bag

The only ones at the office should be the contractors. I'd have to have my legs cut off with a rusty chainsaw to stop me getting in on time. I'd still only be 30 minutes late.

Most permies cant get in if theres a light frost!
