    Students are revolting

    http://www.socialistworker.co.uk/art.php?id=16999

About bloody time students went back to doing this sort of thing with sit-ins and occupations etc. It has been my gripe for the past 10-15 years that all the grads I've ended up working with have been too serious and square.

This is classic stuff as well. Picking a subject so complex they can't begin to fully understand and then picking the trendy side to support.

    Takes me back.......

Heaven help us !! Students have been indoctrinated by left-wing propaganda in universities for years and it is so sad to see this still happening.

When I was a student, they socialists (mainly those doing political science and sociology) tried to organise a student strike. Fortunately, most of the university rugby team were attending the same lectures as me, so the picket lines didn't really have an impact.

I remember going on a student strike against a disgraceful attempt to introduce 8:30am lectures. The strike was scheduled to start at 2 o’clock in the afternoon and we hoped some lecturers would turn up looking for us, but they were all in the pub. Still, the 8:30am idea was dropped.

The thing that amused me at Uni was that the socialists were so often the ones set to inherit substantial businesses or chunks of land.

I was once banned from the Student Union bar for 2 weeks. The Wimmin’s Society had been handing out ‘No means no’ t-shirts so I got one printed that said ‘so I presume yes means immediately?’ I was dragged in front of a committee of all the great and good of studentdom, including the wimmin’s officer, the equality officer and the anti-discrimination officer with only the captain of the 1st XV to vouch for my good character, and ‘charged’ with ‘verbal sexual harassment’. I really didn’t stand a chance.
