Halifax is ok if you want to invest X amount of £'s and leave it there. tdwaterhouse is the place to be for day/short term trading , dealing fees are good and 10k instant credit limit. Buy on a T10 and close it at any point.
Once you're registered get into the double your money by xmas stock that is LGB.
NAV of 230p + and trading at 70p-ish.
