at a time when getting interviews seems so difficult, managed to get an interview for friday (yesterday)

and messed it up big time. All my fault. I can't even blame the snow.

How many interviews have you had recently?

IMO interviewing rarely tests skills used on the job : its a seperate art in itself and takes alot of practice.

Of course being tense never helps : try to relax next time. Easier said than done.

And we all have an off day once in a while....

I have come away from interviews with the same feeling and afterwards I had an offer. So, it still maybe OK.

Don't worry - you'll be right. You don't actually know that you've not been offered the role yet do you. But then again, if you really did fluck it up...

So even if you don't get it. Look back at what you could have done differently and make sure you learn the lesson.

If possible (and it's a longshot) try asking the agency for feedback.

sucks - I think we've all walked away from interviews with similar feelings.

The approach I take today is to ask myself "What's the worst that can happen?"

Suddenly I'm grinning my way through the interview.

Sorry to hear that bullseye - do you know the outcome yet? It might not be as bad as you think. If it doesn't work out then at least you've come away with the experience to avoid the same mistakes at the next interview.

Chin up - lots of unbenching going on at the moment.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

                Folks,

thanks for the chin up messages...

I still dont know the results yet.

This was my first interview after 8 months...so was bit rustic
Lessons learnt..Hopefully would do better from now on and get off the bench soon

Don't worry - we have all done this at sometime. Who knows you still may get the gig. If not, you will do better next time.
