    Election countdown

Assuming GB leaves it to the last possible date, and assuming that May 6th 2010 is the last possible date we have

    442

    days of this shower left

    3 June 2010

So GB gets an extra 35 days assuming he doesn't use the terrorism or parliament acts to abolish elections altogether.

          So there's 477 f***ing-up days left.

Is there anything more that Gordon Brown and the Labour party could do to the economy to make it worse? One a day. I'll start:

477 days to go - Buy back the gold they sold, now worth over three times as much as they sold it for. Announce it a month in advance first though, to make sure we buy at the very top of the market.

On the bright side, the chances of Labour returning to power within 3 or 4 elections are surely not very high.

It'll be pretty easy for the tories. I can imagine the election posters now.

            1979 Labour bankrupts Britain
            2009 Labour bankrupts Britain.
            Never again.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

You have to get into Gordy mindset to see how this works

Sell the gold - announce that you are selling it and the price drops. We then sell all our rubbish gold.

Buy the gold - announce that you are buying it and the price goes up. We then buy some really top quality gold. Ok it costs more than our rubbish gold but it's better gold because it cost more.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

              I preferred version 1!

Unfortunately every generation has to learn this truth for themselves.

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it (Lincoln?)

Yay, can't wait for 477 days to pass before we get another illusion of democracy in action....
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
