David Davies made an average speech today

Being shadow Home Sec, he concentrated on police, terrorism, yobs, all that kind of stuff.

His hands are tied because he backed Blair's invasion of Iraq, and failed to change his mind when it was found out Blair had lied to him.

Ken's going to win this, isn't he.

I reckon Cameron will. He's the only real chance they have
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

          IDS anyone?

I quite like Cameron, he's easily the best communicator, and he's young and eager enough to engage the largely uninterested public. Plus the favourites never seem to win. It could well end up being riftkind (who happens to be the uncle of the coworker sat next to me!)

Davis doesn't seem to be well liked within the Party. Those who have worked closely with him don't seem to have much good to say about him.

All that really matters is that for the national good, come next election, we witness the return of a Conservative governent.

The very thought of yet another Labour victory with the repitilian Tony Blair and his smug socialist bedfellows is unbearable.

Nah, a good few years of serious suffering are required. Otherwise, down the line, the socialcysts will be back.

Oh yes it's 8 years now. Long enough for you to forget about the poll tax, the Tory Sleaze, Jonathan Aitken, Jeffrey Archer etc. etc.. Makes Blunkett look like a Saint. Still as long as you have more wonga in your pocket, what does it matter ?

Poll tax? Was a very good idea IMHO

Tory Sleaze? That'd be stuff that got in the papers. Well stuff about 2Jags doesn't get in the papers so it's not as bad I take it in the socialist mindset?

Nothing could make a maniacal authoritarian like Blunkett look like a saint: ID Cards, removal of trial by Juries? He is one of the biggest threats to the British way of life ever elected.

Au contraire I was very aware of the Poll Tax and with other Conservatives in Scotland I demonstrated against it.

Only an imbicle would automatically agree with every policy aspect of a particular party merely because one voted for it.

After a long era of success and prosperity the Tories backfired by getting rid of Thatcher hence the sleaze and ineffectiveness of the Major adminstration.

Still New Labour benefited from the hard and yes , at times unpopular but very necessay economic measures taken by the Conservatives in the 80s.

However New Labour are well on their way to squandering that benefit with their ludicrous tax and social engineering programs and unilateral millitary adventures.

But as I come here , not to praise Tony Blair but to bury him, perhaps I am missing some wonderful achievement of the Blair juanta, perhaps you could enlighten me in this rsepect JW ?
