    Allowing Lord Ahmed's sentence appeal, Lady Justice Hallett said the imposition of a prison sentence in his case had been justified.

    However, she added the court had been persuaded that it could now take an "exceptional" course and suspend the 12 weeks for 12 months.

            This really does sum up the state of the justice system. Tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime. It sets a great example to everybody else that texts and drives and kills people.
