    How come....

....Norway has £240bn of hard cash it can't wait to spend as surplus from "oil and gas" when the UK is £5trn in debt and it too once had oil, gas and coal reserves?

Could it be our government wasted the wealth of a nation and theirs invested it?

The Norges Bank is not directly run by the government, but by the King, the bank’s governors and a council of ministers. If the government want to spend loads of the cash on nonsense policies, the King and the governors can tell them where to shove their pipe dreams.

Plus, there are only 23 Norwegians, and the UK has 300,000,000 inhabitants.

You've forgotten their dogs. They have sled dogs; whole teams of them.
