Booked a holiday with Thompsons - I dont normally use package deals, but I saw one I liked and thought "why not".

They've just sent me a really stroppy email asking why I haven't paid the 2nd deposit, even though they've written to me!
Of course I've received no such letter.

So I ring them up.....no answer.

I try looking for an online contact.....nothing, or even better an online payment facility....nothing!

So I ring again...no answer.....I ring again...no answer.

******* hopeless ****wits.

Every single time I try and do ANYTHING with ANY company in this ******* country it's impossible.

Off topic on post two. Fantastic. :yay:

Although the blokes have to realise that the right thing to do is to let the woman rant. There is nothing that can be done to fix the problem, so don't even try.

Just sit back, appear to be listening, and make sympathetic noises from time to time.

It's not fraud to use someone elses card with their permission, unless they've brought a new law in in the lasf few minutes?

I made the initial booking online with the same card and this was fine with them.

What was also going to be fine with them was if I passed my phone over to my husband who would have said "yes I authorise this" which is the most ridiculous ******* thing I've ever heard, as I could have just donned a fake Homer Simpson voice to do it!

It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't waiting 90 ******* minutes to get through to be told this!!!

And also, if they'd had an online payment page I could have PAID IT ONLINE WITH THE SAME MOTHER ******* CARD COULDN'T I?!!!!!!

:tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum:

Quality rant. To answer the question, all these arse faced large companies answer only to shareholders who demand stupidly high short term gains - the only way to achieve these gains (or at least the illusion of them that banks and wanky accounts will believe) is through unsustainable stupid business practises which alienate all staff and customers at all times.

I called Virgin yesterday to cancel my TV and Internet as I am moving house, while they answered the phone they couldn’t do SFA as their systems were down. I mean why make me go through all of the menus when they could have put a message on saying 'we are useless and can’t take your call right now'.

Think they need a few more contractors to sort the place out.

Mind you, if you lot built the systems properly and didn't have to patch over each others incompetence there wouldn't be a problem, would there?:throw:

No risk of that - no chance of any outfit paying to get a job done properly in the first place - the shareholders would moan!
