    Labour will save Britain

Using the law of unintended consequences.....

    Here's my scenario:

They hang, desperately, on to power for 1 year 2 months.
Riven by politiking, incompetence, stupidity, etc they make bad decision after bad decision, taking on huge liabilities.
2nd phase of credit crunch kicks in.
    UK bankrupt.
    Pain..........IMF
    UK "reboots".
UK recovers, while rest of World limps on trying to sustain bad companies and bad policies for a decade or more.

    Well, it could happen?
    Bored.

Given that JSA benefits have risen by a whopping 20 per cent in the past month the key to re-election is to pander to the masses of the unemployed by increasing benefit awards - that couipled with the vast amount of Government Jobbers will be just enough to keep NL in power.

They are saying that with all the debt piling up and tax receipts lowering we are heading for SAVAGE public expenditure cuts ... can't see that being good for votes ...
