    World's cheapest car is launched

Costing just 100,000 rupees ($1,979; £1,366), the Nano is being launched in Mumbai later, before going on sale across India over the next 10 days.

Cost cutting features include no airbags, air conditioning, radio, or power steering and manual wind down windows. Plenty cheapness, but probably not quickness.

I don't understand why it's so damned slow. OK, there's only 33BHP on tap, but the article states a top speed of a measly 43mph. The original mini could do 70mph with the same power engine. Do you think it's fitted with a speed limiter

EDIT: Found another article. Top speed quoted at 105Km/h, about 65mph. http://profit.ndtv.com/2009/03/23165...-km-top-s.html
