    hello,

    can i do one contract using an umbrella, then one as a sole trader, then one using an umbrella in a short space of time if i feel like it?

    is that allowed?

    Yes although Agents won't deal with Self Employed Sole traders.

    So long as your earnings are appropriately declared I can't see what's to stop you.
