    Mortgage approval up again

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/e...ive-month.html

The number of mortgages approved in the UK has risen for a third consecutive month, as major banks increase their lending to customers.

Time to get back into BTL. Especially them yuppie bedsits overlooking a stinky river in a rundown city.

Can you get a loan to buy a falling knife?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Interestingly, I'm working on a bit of modelling at the moment of BTL exposures and they don't appear to be behaving much worse (i.e., single basis points) than the non-BTL exposures. Hmm. This is the second place I've done it in the UK with similar results.

If he had, he would have needed to borrow some of the socks from the previous contract
