    Venues in London

Looking for a venue in London to hold a "get together". A venue where a few folks can get together and can chat with a pint in their hands. Ideal area is Holborn but open to others as long as they are easy to get to.

Tried the Princess Louise in Holborn last night and although its a good pub it was way too noisy for conversation!!

    Look forward to the suggestions!!

Have you tried Threadneedle Street. Nowhere near Holborn, but its a riot.
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

Coq d'Argent is good. Nice outdoors area to catch the sunny evening weather and quite safe from all the crusties down below.

Ye Old Mitre Pub - Holborn (Hatton Garden)

            This fits your prescription exactly.

A proper mans pub, no music, great ale and they even serve up pork pies.

Thanks to all! I will take a look at the suggestions over the weekend but has anyone been to any of these? The Princess Louise looked good on paper but when I got there it was way too noisy!!

Second that - its a nice pub. Not overly busy.

The perseverence I mentioned earlier is v low key and quiet for a good chat.
