    Much underrated

Thread for what you class as much underrated. Share your tips and we might be able to find some gems we've either never heard of or can give another chance.

    Mine:

    The Divine Comedy - music
Christopher Brookmyre - books (contemporary fiction)
    The inbetweeners - sitcom

Swindon. So posh now I noticed the graffiti vandals were using gold paint on the neighbours house.

Cant agree more about the Divine Comedy, Mr P and I are big fans and love all their/his albums -witty and musically delightful. We saw them a few years ago in manchester - brilliant and he did a great version of ELO's Mr Blue Sky as an encore. I was very pleased as it is one of my guilty pleasures

In a similar vein Belle and Sebastian and Tom Waits - of course.

Mods - can we have a dedicated music section??? Pleeeeeeeeese
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

‘Spaced’ early Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson sitcom, hardly anyone watched it and I don’t think it’s been repeated? IMO it’s one of the best comedy shows of all time.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Brilliant show. Don't think it was ever repeated, but it's got a huge following after the DVD releases.

We watched it and loved it - also Hippies, Black Books and Green Wing.

Haven't looked for Hippies on DVD yet, but have the others.
