So Labour have helped the poorest in society have they?

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/20...uk-charity-aid

Save the Children will begin handing out cash grants to struggling parents in the UK today, signalling that families here are in "crisis" and need emergency support of the sort usually reserved for its aid programmes in the developing world.

Better known for its work helping children in war-torn or famine-struck countries, Save the Children has never before distributed money to British families.

Or those with a Labour government.

Expect they'll be some iconic photo taken soon of grim northern family queueing up for soup in grim northern town next to grim boarded up shop. Bit like this. Sum up New Labour's failure etc. Used in all the history books for the 2009 Great Recession.
