What do you say to a permie

When near the completion of a project they say

"If we don't get this report out by June, I'm out of a job"

By the by my plan (which I had to hand) clearly show months earlier the timelines involved yet they just ignored.

I just smiled and replied "looks like your up £$%$£ creek", want a paddle?

No really I did not say that, in fact I said nothing.

Honestly why are premies unable to accept responsibility?

I think I would have motivational problems if I was paid what some of them are. Seriously.

"What a shame. Have you considered teaching as a career."

Just show them your bank statement and tell them that if you lose your contract, it would be of no loss. At the end of the day, the sh*t won't be hitting your fan.
