    British economy screwed

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/8000319.stm

A condom and sandal manufacturer in Manchester, SSL International, has experienced a trade boom during the economic crisis.

The rubber firm said that demand for its products was continuing and it was experiencing an annual profit growth of 30%.

The company, which owns sites in Urmston and Trafford Park, sells Durex and Scholl footwear.

It made in excess of £640 million last year.

Chief executive Garry Watts said: "As a consequence of this underlying sales growth, continuing cost control and the benefit from favourable currency rates, we continue to expect to announce reported operating profit growth in excess of 30%."

    Well, **** me!
