I met with a unique prop trading firm with unbelievable prospects this week, and I cannot stress the excitement of the opportunity enough. They need a crack C++ coder (Unix) with experience in all the 'buzz words' (multi-threading, realtime, sockets programming etc) and exposure to at least one financially traded instrument (FX or equities would be best). As for the career prospects within the role, possibilities are endless and they are looking for a long term perm hire. Some of the biggest names in the market are involved in this set-up, and whoever talks to them has come away desperate for a job. I understand that you may not be 100% suited to this perm role in particular, but if you have a friend or colleague who could be interested in looking at this, then please feel free to pass on my contact details.
