Shock, horror....I've just had a nice conversation with an agent!!

Synapps - I've worked through them before actually, and they were smashing then...and still smashing now.

He didn't give me any cr*p, he didn't try and schmooze - he just talked to me normally, but professionally, and gave me accurate information!!

I would go through him/them now ahead of all other agencies.

In my experience the oiliest of oily agents are the once that seem "normal" and "professional".

I have to say that all agents that I have dealt with in Germany (German ones that is) have been very good and no bulltulip. Recently some have asked about references (mainly those agencies who are branch offices of UK ones) and I have said I cannot give them and that was no problem for them either. In fact one said he needed them once the contract had been sorted and then promptly forgot about it. I would then say that around 80% of agents who contact me from the UK either by phone or e-mail remind me of Arthur Daley.
