    What to do?

    Please consider this hypothetical scenario:

You have been contracting in London for the last 12 years, but now the market is dead and you have worked only eight weeks since last August. However, you still have a large bench fund and low living costs. You have an NZ passport so you can work in Aus or NZ. Do you:

    a) stay in the UK and try harder
    b) go permie
    c) try writing an iPhone game
    d) up sticks and try your luck in Aus
    e) ...NZ
    f) ...Europe (English only)
    g) other

    ?

Thanks in advance for your views.

Sign on and claim your contributions based JSA which is available for six months and meanwhile continue to seek work. Reappraise the situation in a few months time. Staying at home also keeps you away from the swineflu epidemic !!
