Health & Safety - Driver training

    Read the following recently:

"Following the introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter Act, all companies in the UK now have a duty of care to provide each of their employees with the best possible training available to ensure their health and safety at work.
Work often includes driving and over 1200 people die in work related incidents on the road each year. Businesses that employ more than five people - even those without a company car fleet - now have a legal obligation to have a road safety policy in place."

OK - so I know most of us are only 1 "employee" but could we organise a advance driving course for CUK members! Depending on who we select it could include fast cars, skid pans, .........all in the name of Health and Safety of course!!

You have to have a road safety policy not driver training.

So just a document saying don't speed or answer the phone etc and your covered.
