    Pig flu on the economy

Global shares have fallen further in Tuesday trading as the swine flu outbreak continues to weigh on markets.

The UK's main FTSE 100 index was down 1.9% in lunchtime trading, while Japan's Nikkei earlier closed down 1.7% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng shed 1.4%.

The declines come after the Dow Jones index lost 0.6% in New York on Monday.

"We had finally begun to see a bottom for the global economy and that has been ruined by pigs," said analyst Tsuyoshi Segawa of Shinko Securities.
The economy is in another trough then?

Yes, and the company name’s an oxymoron too. The company calls itself ‘Something Securities’ and they get all insecure about a few pigs with runny noses and start losing people’s life savings over it. Sorry pedants, not an oxymoron. A lie.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
