    Given the range of opinions I've read, from why not to not on your nelly I've decided to start a poll to see where the numbers lie, and perhaps also give all those 'Guests' out there (who we never hear a peep from) a chance to voice an opinion as well.

    I've been trying to get a Plumber to move a radiator on a free day's trail, then I will consider giving him any other plumbing jobs I might need..but he keeps telling me to **** off!

      Yes but if you are out of work for example, then what have you got to lose.

      I mean ...scam...I can't envisage any project where a days work is going to be of any use to a client. They just want to see how you go about things, make things compile etc etc.

          Well, it seems that the definitive answer - so far - is YES...or MAYBE, depending of course on things like location, circumstances, contract type or agency.
