    Contracting at a small firm

Wow. First week done. I haven't worked this bloody hard in years. It's a refreshing change from sitting in a multinational pretending to work and already I'm brushing up on some of the skills I have on my CV. It's good; people will notice if you laze about so it motivates you to actually do something useful.

Well done Mich the Tester - small companies are more like the real world without the bureaucracy!

Small co I've been with for the past 9 months is now 'feeling the pinch' so the real world is going to hit hard at some point
This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernames

True. Good to know I've still got some skills after a year or so sleeping at a multinational. Shall now enjoy saturday morning lie-in more than ever.

Do small companies normally employ full-time testers? I thought the flip side of big companies being bureaucratic was they could actually afford to hire a proper testing/QA hierarchy.

Maybe your definition of small is different to mine though?
