Could you live on 60 grand a week?

What with the price of foie gras and a middle of the road Romanee Conti these days, petrol for the Bentley and diesel for the motoryacht, heating costs for the palace, ladies shoes and the shocking expense of a modern butler’s weekly wages, life’s getting tough for your average bank director. Surely the gummint should be more generous when bailing out failed banks? How can one be so mean as to try to deny Mssrs Goodwin, McPillock et al their measly allowances?

Should we perhaps have a little more sympathy for unemployed bank directors? Sod all the cashiers, shop assistants, code monkeys and builders that have lost their jobs; they’re just leaching off the system; they should be sent to workhouses to finance the allowances for our holy bankers.

People, let's just lay off 'benefit scroungers' for a while and get some perspective into how public money's being wasted.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Public sector waste in the UK is astronomical.

We've one of the largest public sectors in Europe, with a mix of non-jobs (i.e., street football playworker - I mean, WTF?) and wholly overpaid long-standing salarymen in jobs where the only requirement is to be a FoL (Friend of Labour).

    Fcukers.

60 grand a week wouldnt see me through a weekend let alone the week.

Isnt everyone on at least 70k a week nowadays ?

Im such a failure ... oh well its only money.

As for the ppor hard working Bankers - yeah its a shame - why not have a kind of BankAid concert on their behalf with Bob Geldof , Alan GreenSpam (shoorly shum mishtake ???)

The government could also have a NukeAid concert to help pay for Trident.

Guest stars would be Tony Blair and George Bush and that North Korean Bampot.

      Just a thought

Why shouldn't people be paid for working in the community to teach children values and giving them something better to do than loiter on street corners drinking cider and hurling abuse at passers-by? I wouldn't do that job for a huge salary, those willing to try and reverse the country's decline into chav-dom by associating with those types should be praised and rewarded, not criticised for taking 12k (quite a realistic figure from my experience) for their hard work.

Shouldn't the parents be doing that for free?

Erm, parents? Why aren't parents teaching their kids values and providing them with something better to do?

I could probably just about cope, but I might have to cut back in some areas.
