    Moth --> Wasps

    See my avatar.

    1. On the window frame in the bedroom is a chrysalis. It was there when we moved in at the start of the year. Every morning when I open the curtains, I check it is still there. I sort of hope, each time, to see it hatch.

    2. This morning I saw it had moved and was hanging away from the corner between the seal and the glass, where it had been tightly tucked in.

    3. Closer inspection showed tiny winged creatures on it.

    4. I saw they were moving around it and flying off. Could they be parasitic wasps laying eggs?

    5. Nope. They are parasitic wasps hatching and flying off...

    Hey, at least I waited until after lunch before posting.

    I wonder if this is where the inspiration for 'Alien' came from

      I'm afraid my initial reaction to that was - cool!
      I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

        I heard bees and ants evolved from wasps.
