      We're all going to die

      From The Register:-

      http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/07...d_flu_vaccine/

".... The government has confirmed that it is to stockpile two million shots of the vaccine against the H5N1 strain of bird flu. It plans to use the drug to protect emergency and medical workers against a global outbreak of the virus, "

The rest of us are doomed !

This was an excellent bit of Government media spin which no one noticed.

They were getting lots of flak for not ordering enough vaccine. So this week they announced that they were going to increase the order so they will have enough for everyone.

        Thank you Tony.

Only the vaccine doesn’t exist (because the disease doesn’t exist).

So how much do you think imaginary vaccine costs? I’m guessing not very much. So the media problem is solved at no cost.

          Spod...you're fired!

Yep, as planetit says, there is no vaccine as unfortunately it can't be made until the last minute - how long it takes to do that who knows - when everyone is dead or dying.

Perhaps what people are refering to is Tamiflu, the anti-viral which supposedly should provide some possible protection.

Yup, this is the same government that ballsed up the foot and mouth outbreak remember. We'll end up being bulldozed into mass graves by the million.

They were interviewing some government doctor about bird flu the other day on TV, and the imbecile didn't answer a single relevant question but started droning on about the ban on smoking in public places.

There will be no pandemic! Thousands of people die from influenza in the UK every year as it is.

This is yet another Government scare story.

"If it doesn't happen this year, it will happen the next year, or the one after that, it will happen" - Bollox!
