Try finding out what causes the migraine. Some people find that certain foods bring it on for example, then you can look to avoid them.

I also hear heart problems (a friend had a hole in the heart which caused his), teeth issues and well pretty much anything can cause them.

My ex wife used to have migraine problems related to orange juice, some mineral waters and red wine. She cut those out for a while and I believe hasn't had one since.

I've just got a stonking migraine trying to write a cover letter for a permie job.

Maybe it's trying to tell me something, and I'll feel better after a nice lie down.

tried cutting out all the possible triggers but nothing seems to do the trick.

Even changes in the weather causes them...like todays one (mildish one thank god)

                Might try accupuncture...

Stress mainly. Mine also seem to be triggered by fluorescent lighting.
I never get the full blown headache but I get really bad distorted vision for a couple of hours. First time I got it I thought I was having a brain haemorrhage!

Surely you just ask Aunt Sally to give you (a new) head ?
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
