    Jacqui Smith to resign

Sky News are reporting that she's going to resign. She'd very probably have been kicked out when Gordo reshuffles the cabinet so it looks like she's jumping before she's pushed.

Can the fat knacker jump - I'd have thought that pushing her would be a chore also
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

Well, I suppose it's a sort of stumbling fall.

So true. She's just trying to make it look like she is making an ethical decision which it clearly is not. She will try to hang on as an MP until the next election in May/June 2010 just as all in Labour are doing. It's scandalous because they should be calling an election yesterday so we can boot the bstrds out ASAP and start making the necessary spending cuts !!

First thing this morning there were hints that the sockpuppet Darling would go today.

You can almost taste the collapse of this government. Will the snot goblin go to see the Queen this week? Could it be today or Friday?
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

If anything, it'd be Monday after the European election results.

Losing his home secretary and sacking his chancellor? I mean - how much longer does he think he can hold on?

Personally, for the sheer tulips and giggles, I'd like to see him have a very public meltdown in front of the cameras and then be carried out by the men in white coats.

Instead of La Thatch leaving with something-approaching-dignity he'd be bundled out of the backdoor of No10 into the waiting van to take him to the loony bin.

I hope Gordon hangs on in there. We won't see a Chancellor and PM of his calibre again in our lifetimes.
