FFS, please tell me GCSE maths is harder than that nowadays?
Well, it's considerably longer than 7 questions.
Most of those questions look like the starter questions in each block, worth a couple of marks each. They get harder by asking more questions on the same subject.

I admit I more trying to answer a question froma colleague about when exactly I am ready to goto the pub..
I also admit I had similar problems when doing the GCSE maths however it was more along the lines of "how quick can we finish this to get back to the pub", got a grade B that time
WTF - why does it have all the formulas at the start?
According to my children that's because they're aiming to test the students ability to apply mathematics rather than remember formulae. It's a debatable point.
