      I had a one term course with Harry Kroto before he, plus others, discovered C60 and subsequently won the Noble Prize for Chemistry and became a Sir. Very inspirational individual.

        We could do a thread on whom we've had teach us. I realise this dates me but I did Physics with someone from Rutherford's atom-splitting team.

        Then we could do a thread on our own lasting contributions to knowledge. Keep it short.
