    Contract Help!

This is my first post so hello everyone!

I'm currently a permie, looking to go contracting asap and wondered if any of you have any advice for me at this time?

Is it a good time to make the transition or should I wait til the market picks up a little? Where's the best place to find a contract etc. Any feedback you have would be much appreciated.

I am a Linux sysadmin by trade btw...

Don't even think about it. Even if you've enough savings to last a year, stay where you are until the contract market picks up - because it's dead at the moment.

As always it depends what your skillset is. Don't let people on this site put you off.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

        Go for it!

The UK recession has ended so I don't see what there is to stop you coining it in.

Contract101, you ever hang around a gymnasium?
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Go for it! There's never been a better time. Always do the opposite of what the general consensus is (especially on here, these guys don't like the extra competition). Dive straight in, there's loads of dosh there for the taking.
