    Recession is over!

UK recession may have ended in March

Britain may have come out of recession more than two months ago, a leading economic think tank suggested.

The economy's gross domestic product grew by 0.1pc in May following a similar increase in April, according to estimates released on Wednesday by the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR).

Thanks to all you guys and girls shopping like crazy at Lidl and Poundland, I can confirm today that Britain has never looked in better shape.

Obama Drastically Scales Back Goals For America

          From The Onion on YouTube

Obama will abandon complex policies on emissions, clean coal and refocus on achievable goals like applying deodorant daily, learning what to say when you burp.

"What I saw at Denny's made me realize how much I have overestimated the American people".

This could be anywhere in the UK too.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I think the GDP includes Government spending. If so, I wouldn't put too much faith in this blip, considering the Government has been spending like there's no tomorrow (on borrowed money) trying to prop up the banks and more on unemployment benefits.

I'm surprised the Torygraph didn't highlight that, unless either I'm talking bulltulip or they are as keen as anyone to talk up the economy.

Brazil entered recession very recently so there is no way that the world recession is over. I see further falls in the UK with the ridiculous oil price yet again sapping any strength out of the economy.
