Sir Timbo is appointed by Gordo:

What's the concensus? Will it work? Can Sir Tim actually create a working web page or is this just destined to be binned as another lip service IT project failure from nu lab?
Moving to Montana soon, gonna be a dental floss tycoon

    WHS+1

    (more's the pity).

Given the governments history with data protection (e.g., do as we say, not as we do) I'll believe it when I see it.

      He didn't invent the internet.
But I'm glad he got the job.
I think sometimes a pathetic, desperate government is the best kind.
      Bored.

Who said he invented the Internet? I only saw the WWW mentioned.
You can lead a fool to wisdom but you can't make him think.

Sir Tim refused to be specific about which items of data he would help make public, but said he was interested in suggestions from bloggers about what they would like to see.
So that's the end of that then.

Put them all on a desert island and let em fight it out. Who would you spend 38pence (from BT landlines, calls from mobiles may be more) to vote off??

I think deciding to put "www" at the start of webserver addresses is about the only part of it he did invent.
